Primary Health Care

Primary Health Care is a strategy that can be used to ensure a minimum level of health care for all residents. Primary Health Care emphasizes the development of acceptable , affordable , health care provided is essential can be achieved, which is essential and a priority on improving the sustainability and believe in yourself along with the participation of society in determining something about health. In 1981 after the identification of health goals for all and Primary Health Care strategy to realize the goals, the WHO makes global indicators for monitoring and evaluation that can be achieved on a healthy for all in 1986 .

Primary health care is essential health care made universally affordable and can be by individuals and families in the community. The focus of primary health care and a broad range encapsulates various aspects of society and health needs . Primary Health Care is presenting patterns of health care wherein health care consumers to be partners with the profession and participated achieve the common goal of better health.

In Indonesia, the implementation of the Primary Health Care is generally implemented through health centers and below (including sub-health centers, health clinics) and many public health based activities such as Village Maternity Hospital and Health Services Village as Integrated Postal Services ( ISP or IHC ). Administratively , Indonesian consists of 33 provinces, 349 districts and 91 municipalities , 5,263 sub-districts and 62,806 villages. The Ministry of Health currently has one program that is saintifikasi herbs which began in 2010 and aims to improve access and affordability of medicines to the public .

This program allows the herbs which are traditional herbal medicines that are commonly used by the people of Indonesian , can be registered and have a distribution license so that it can be integrated in the formal health services
